Owning a dog can sometimes be the most rewarding thing ever! Dogs don’t judge us, they greet us every time we walk through the front door, and they are the best cuddlers ever!

So, it’s safe to say that we all love our furry friends, but let’s be real—owning a dog can sometimes be a bit pricey.

Large Breed Owners Spend The Most:

If you’re the proud parent of a large breed, brace yourself for an average yearly cost of at least $1,570, according to Forbes. Over a dog’s lifetime, that number can soar to a staggering $22,000.

And if you go all out on extra care and pampering, the total could hit a jaw-dropping $83,000. *Cries in Spanish*

Most Expensive Breed To Own:

Now, let’s talk about the dog that could practically buy you a mansion—the Tibetan Mastiff. This majestic fluffball is often referred to as the most expensive dog breed out there, and for good reason.

In 2014, a Tibetan Mastiff puppy in China fetched nearly $2 million! That’s more than what most of us spend on a house! I love dogs but I think I love havinb a house more.

But the Tibetan Mastiff isn’t the only breed with a hefty price tag:

Other expensive breeds include the English Bulldog and French Bulldog, each costing around $4,250. Even the fluffy Samoyed and the regal Chow Chow aren’t far behind, with price tags of $3,750 and $4,000, respectively.

So, if you’re thinking about bringing home a new four-legged family member, just make sure your bank account is as ready as your heart!
