More Vigils Held Tonight Honoring the Victims of the 8/3 Shootings
Several vigils will be held tonight to honor the lives of the victims that were killed during the mass shootings on Saturday, August 3, 2019, in El Paso.
Vigils have been popping up all over the country including our sister cities of Ciudad Juarez and Las Cruces, NM. Tonight's vigils will be held at various locations across town including:
- A vigil set to honor victim Javier Amir Rodriguez will take place at the Horizon High School football stadium at 7 p.m. Rodriguez was a student at the high school.
- Immanuel Church located at 1201 Hawkins will have a Candlelight Prayer Vigil outside in their parking lot beginning at 7:30 p.m.
- Walter Clarke Middle School Park located at 1519 Bob Hope will be holding a vigil starting at 8 p.m.
- And our sister city of Las Cruces will be holding a solidarity vigil set for 8 p.m. at Plaza de Las Cruces in Downtown Las Cruces.
If you would like to help out the victims’ families affected by this tragedy – you can make an appointment to donate blood at your local Vitalant office in El Paso or Las Cruces.
