There are a few times a year that everyone tends to do some major cleaning, clearing out, and reorganizing of their stuff. Usually we do it for the first time during spring break. You have a week or two to throw open the windows and pull stuff out of your closets that you don't use anymore. Summer vacation is another time to get rid of things that the kids, or you, have outgrown. Then comes the holidays and getting rid of decorations that you don't use anymore or don't have room for.

I discovered that I had a huge number of wooden spoons in my kitchen. They were in the utensil holder by the stove, in kitchen drawers, and there were even some in a plastic container in my pantry. I got rid of them and had to ask our listeners this morning, what you do you own a ridiculous amount of? They answered on the free 93.1 KISS FM Mobile App.

Good morning! While cleaning out my closet this winter break, I realized I own an insane amount of purses! Like an INSANE. AMOUNT. I was pulling out storage containers full of them, they were also hiding in nooks and crannies around the closet, they were behind my hamper, hiding under some shoes...purses everywhere!

I have too many books. I have mine from when I was a kid, my husband's, his parent's from when they downsized their home, and our kid's books. They're everywhere!

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
