Celebrate Chinese New Year this weekend at the El Paso Museum of History for free and learn about the beautiful annual tradition.

Lunar New Year (also known as Chinese New Year) welcomes in the new spring season and is followed by a series of generational customs welcoming good health, wealth, and great relationships for the New Year.

This Saturday the El Paso Museum of History along with the local and family-run restaurant Pho Tre Bien Vietnamese Cuisine will host a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

This Saturday, immerse yourself in this beautiful annual tradition with hands-on activities, and performances featuring lion and fan dancers, Chinese Opera and storytelling. The afternoon will also include a mini-documentary about the annual celebration, an altar, and giveaways. Learn more about how East Asia celebrates the New Year at this free, family-friendly event.
