Local Training Center Offering Self-Defense Seminar

An Advanced Krav Maga Seminar dealing with real-world threat scenarios will be offered this weekend by Total Defense El Paso.

Total Defense El Paso, a recipient of the 2019 Best of El Paso Award in the Self Defense School, is hosting an Advanced Krav Maga Seminar dealing with Real World Threats at close quarters with an advanced gun defense, active shooter component and anti-hostage tactics on Saturday, September 14th, with San Diego’s KMW 3rd Dan Black Belt Mike Mihalkanin.

After the mass shootings on August 3rd, El Pasoans are looking to get trained in self-defense techniques. This training will be open to the general public, law enforcement and military and the money from the ticket sales will be aiding the fundraising efforts of the El Paso Community Foundation’s Victims’ Fund.

Michael Mihalkanin, is a 3th-degree black belt, who founded MMA Academy over 28 years ago. Mihalkanin serves as the Chief Instructor of Krav Maga Worldwide’s Official Training Center MMA Academy in San Diego. He is also the co-founder of POC Enterprises, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization compassionately dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by violence and to prevent others from becoming victims.
