On April 5th during a cozy Friday night, Barbed Wire tried something new with their normal format and added a roulette wheel to their sign up sheet! That means when performers sign up, their name goes on the wheel and chance decides when they go up to perform.

Working with local businesses has its pay offs however, The Barbed Wire and JVBs teamed up to make the roulette wheel even more exciting! Not only did performers take the stage and wow the full house audience at the local café, but performers and audience members alike had the chance to win some awesome gifts during the open mic.

On top of the wheel having performers names, it also had slots for prizes granted by JVB. You could win things like free appetizers or pints of beer, a percentage off of your meal for the night. The wheel even included some big prizes like a custom art print from a local artist and a small set of JVB glassware!

The venue was lively and exciting as The Barbed Wire and JVBs came together for another incredible night of live performance with some new twists added in. Performers spun the wheel after each performance and audience members came up to spin when the performers would spin a name that had already been on stage. The crowd and the performers were able to interact as one, adding another community element to an already amazing open mic series.
