Local Girl Scouts Gearing Up For Cookie Season With First-Ever Cookie Classic Golf Tournament

The start of the new year means many things but if you’re a cookie lover like I am then the start of the year also means GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SEASON!

Local Girl Scouts are gearing up for the 2024 cookie season but they’re also gearing up for something new: The first-ever Cookie Classic Golf Tournament.

The Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest First Annual Cookie Classic Golf Tournament will be happening Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club. This isn't your average golf tourney; it's a swingin' celebration for a good cause.

The proceeds from the event will fund programs that empower young Girl Scouts with practical life and leadership skills.

“Your participation gives girls the materials they need to begin their life journey as Girl Scouts who make the world a better place.”

Locals are encouraged to sign up for a team that can include four people, two people, or you can even join as an individual golfer.

Local businesses can also sign up to sponsor this first-ever Cookie Classic Golf Tournament. 

The tournament will include lunch, range balls, green fees, carts, hole in one contest, as well as welcome bags with some goodies!
