A local brewery printed limited edition beer cans last week that feature six dogs up for adoption via the El Paso Humane Society in hopes of finding them a loving and permanent home.

Old Sheepdog Brewery located at 3900 Rosa Avenue partnered with the Humane Society last week and unveiled the limited-edition cans on August 26 as part of National Dog Day.  The pups that were chosen to be featured on these cans have all been at the shelter six months and for one of these adorable canines, this marks the second time they’ve been at the shelter.

Featured on the cans are:

  • Sugar Plum, a female who has been at the shelter for 8 months
  • Gonzo, a male who has been at the shelter for 6 months
  • Gordo, a male who has been at the shelter for 7 months
  • Doc, a male whose time at the shelter is unspecified
  • Goose, a male whose time at the shelter is unspecified
  • Justice, a male whose time at the shelter is unspecified

Since these cans were released last week, some of the dogs listed above may have already become wonderful additions to El Paso families but that doesn’t mean there aren’t additional pets at the Humane Society who are just as deserving of a loving, forever home.
