Last Chance To Get Your Tickets For The El Paso 48HR Film Project Premiere!
El Paso’s indie film scene is buzzing with excitement this week as the 48 Hour Film Project is about to make its grand debut on the big screen, and trust me, you don’t want to miss it.
After a whirlwind weekend of no sleep, endless coffee, and pure creative chaos, dozens of local teams turned their wildest ideas into short films in just two days. Now, it’s showtime. This Wednesday, October 15th, every film created during this year’s 48 Hour Film Project, including our very own KISS FM production Radio Silence, will premiere at Premiere LUX Cine 17 IMAX.
This event is one of the most exciting showcases of homegrown talent you’ll find in El Paso. Every movie is made under the same challenge: write, shoot, and edit an entire film in just 48 hours. The result? A wild mix of comedies, thrillers, heartfelt dramas, and a few absolutely unhinged fever dreams that could only come from local filmmakers running on caffeine and passion.
El Paso’s 48 Hour Film Project Premiere
Our team’s entry, Radio Silence, is an experimental sci-fi thriller. It’s weird and full of heart, just like El Paso itself. The short stars yours truly, Grizz, alongside my co-host Iris and my cousin Elijah, with the incredible Intern Al behind the camera as our director of photography and editor. This story started as a wild idea on a Friday night and has grown into something we’re proud to share with you on the big screen.
