Las Cruces High School Coach Dies After Thanksgiving Morning Car Accident
Students and friends of a Las Cruces football coach are mourning his passing.
Roger Grays was riding in a car being driven by his nephew on Thanksgiving morning when it hydroplaned in the rain and rolled off I-25. Grays' nephew was not injured in the crash.
Grays was an assistant football coach at Centennial High School in Las Cruces, and the team he helped coach is in a fight for the state championship. The team, including his nephew, continue to play in honor of Grays.
A GoFundMe page created to help with medical costs already has over $2,000 to help with medical expenses the Grays family has incurred.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Grays family and friends.
