I took part of my family to the free tour this weekend at the Magoffin Home. They had never been there and they were amazed at how beautiful the home is and the history of the Magoffin's in El Paso.

With summer right around the corner, parents are looking for things to keep their kids busy, and the Magoffin Home is one of the places you should look to for events and classes all summer long. The first thing that kids can take advantage of is a class in adobe making. Kids will build miniature adobe homes using the materials and techniques that built the Magoffin Home. They will also learn how homes were constructed in El Paso before the railroad delivered brick and lumber.

Kids will learn smart stuff like spatial and mathematical skills, but more importantly, they'll get to play with mud! They will need to wear sunblock, bring a hat, and wear clothes that can get dirty.

This should be a ton of fun for your kiddos!
