Khalid Creates Shirt to Help Raise Money for Victims’ Families
Khalid has announced ticket sales for his 'A Night for SunCity' benefit concert, happening September 1st at the Don Haskins Center. It has been an incredibly tough time for El Pasoans as our community continues to live in a new reality, after the domestic terrorist attack that took place at the Cielo Vista Walmart. Twenty-two lives were taken on August 3rd, 2019 and the El Paso community has forever been changed.
Going forward our community is ElPaso Strong and continue to be there for each other. Khalid's way of helping the victims' families includes the benefit concert and now a benefit T-shirt. According to shop.khalidofficial.com, Khalid's 'Forever of the 915' T-Shirts "proceeds will be donated to the El Paso Shooting victims' fund / El Paso Community Foundation to directly support the families and victims lost in the mass shooting." Khalid credits El Paso with helping birth his inspiration for starting his music career and continues to represent the city in numerous songs. You can see his love for El Paso and the country on this shirt, as the back illustration of Khalid shows him sitting on a sign of El Paso, hugging Texas. Flags from other countries can be seen bordering the sign, which must signify his love for not only Texas but this world.
The front graphic of his shirt proudly shows off his love for El Paso. Obviously, that El Paso type of love is FOREVER! I love the design and really hope Khalid's concert will be a healing process for those who attend, as this world continues to be a scary place. No matter what, we will forever be #EPStrong.
