All over the state of Texas, you can find some amazing landmarks & parks to visit. Places like Brewster County's Big Bend National Park, Amarillo's Cadillac Ranch or the River Walk in San Antonio are beautiful places to visit. But they're not considered historic landmarks. At least...not YET.

Some other notable historic landmarks include:

  • Fort Sam Houston, named after Texas' first president of the Republic of Texas, Sam Houston found in San Antonio, Texas
  • The Elissa tall ship is one of the oldest ships still sailing today, built in 1877. Today its home is in Galveston, Texas
  • The Espada Aqueducts built in 1731, found in San Antonio, Texas
  • The Rio Vista Farm near El Paso is located in Socorro, Texas. The Rio Vista Farm has also had its share of ghostly visitors too.
  • The Highland Park Village built in 1931 near Dallas, Texas has been classified as a historic national landmark in 2000.
  • You can even go visit Lyndon B Johnson's birthplace (as it is now a historic landmark) in Johnson City, Texas.
