Taylor Swift Saves the Life of an Amarillo Dog
Taylor Swift has been everywhere lately. She just completed her North American ERAs tour where she performed in about every major city.
Taylor has been a prominent fixture in the NFL the last few weeks, especially at the Kansas City Chiefs games, as she is cheering on her new beau, Travis Kelce.
Taylor is saving lives on a regular basis, and she doesn't even know it.
A local Amarillo family has the sweetest dog named Jax and he has been in their family for a very long time. On a Tuesday in September, the family noticed that Jax wasn't able to move, he couldn't control his bodily functions and seemed to be paralyzed from the waist down.
Michelle, Jax's dog mom, rushed him to the emergency vet clinic. The results of Jax's tests were not good. The family had two choices. They could take Jax to Oklahoma City or Albuquerque for emergency surgery by a vet who specializes in that particular surgery, or they could euthanize him. The cost of the surgery was $4200.
Michelle then called Gary, Jax's dog dad, and he was given the news. At that time, Dad was leaning towards euthanasia. Michelle told him that Jax had been a part of their lives and he was family. However, $4200 is a lot of money. That's when Michelle helped Gary change his mind.
She reminded him of how much he spent to take the family to see Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Dallas.
Taylor Swift saved Jax's life!
The decision was made. They hopped in the car that afternoon and drove to Oklahoma City, where Jax had his life-saving surgery on Wednesday.
By Saturday, Jax was walking again and pottying on his own.
Thank you Taylor Swift for saving Jax! You may never know that you did, but you did.
