What We Found at the Locked Doors

We were in the area recently, and when we walked by S.E.A. Market, we found that the doors were closed, for-lease signs were in the windows, and a lockout notice was posted on the door. The notice, dated September 30, 2026, stated that the tenant owed over $20,000.

Did S.E.A. Market Ever Sell?

The website for S.E.A. Market is no longer functioning. It looks as if its Facebook page has been disabled or deleted. We assume the owner was not able to sell the business.

We did reach out through the only contact we had to see if we could get more information, but at the time of publishing, we did not receive a response.

What Did S.E.A. Market Offer in Southwest Amarillo?

Owner Naomi Vang opened S.E.A. Market in May 2024, and it has been one of the few Asian markets serving the southwest portion of Amarillo. The store carried Southeast Asian grocery staples, imported exotic snacks like chips, cookies, and candy from Thailand, Japan, and Korea. It also had fresh produce and flowers.

We wish Vang and her family all the best with their future endeavors.
