Why This Lubbock Rosa’s Location Deserves More Breakfast Love
This is not a paid ad. This is the result of a full belly and a very small receipt.
Whenever corporate comes to Lubbock, we have a drill. We hit Rosa’s on Monday and Jimenez Y Friends on Tuesday. That’s the truth. The kind of food we have around these parts drives our visiting friends wild, and we’re more than happy to accommodate.
If you’re wondering about the order of events, there’s a simple explanation — our friends at Jimenez aren’t open on Mondays.
So we’re here today to talk about Rosa’s breakfast. I’m not sure what other locations have it, but this story is specifically about the 50th Street location. That one is open for drive-thru or dine-in, and it’s just fantastic.
It always seems to be lightly attended during breakfast hours, but I guess the Rosa’s staff has to be there anyway to prepare for the lunch rush. As far as dining in goes, the plates are piled high, with the migas plate being my go-to order.
It is easily enough for two days worth of breakfast and usually more than even my dad could handle.
This past Monday I dropped in to grab a little something for me and said dad, and that’s what inspired me to write this.
Around 8:45 there was no one in the drive-thru. I pulled up, ordered three migas burritos and a medium Coke, and the entire bill was $15.05.
They also threw in a couple of Rosa’s signature salsas, which I love.
Oh, and I went from sitting at the order screen to driving away with three FAT burritos in less than three minutes.

Of course, you may doubt my story and note that there are only two burritos and one salsa in the picture. That would be because I ate mine before I delivered Dad’s order.
Listen, I’m a reporter, not a superhero.
I tell you all of this at the risk of one of my favorite places becoming more crowded. That’s okay, this location has a lot of room.
I guess if the secret gets out, I’ll have only myself to blame. Until then, I’m going to keep enjoying the short lines, the giant portions, and one of the best breakfast deals I’ve found in town.
