The Soda Shack Expands In Lubbock

The Soda Shack has expanded to a third location in Lubbock at Indiana and 66th at KK’s Corner, which has hosted several coffee and drink spots over the years. It's this quirky little building here (it has since been repainted).

The Soda Shack is also located at 5903 82nd Street and on the go in a food truck that is frequently at major events like the First Friday Art Trail.

What Makes The Soda Shack Different From Regular Sodas?

Unlike a regular fast food soda, The Soda Shack offers many add-ins and combinations to customize your drinks, from flavored syrups to real fruit and cream. They have plenty of options for a "dirty soda," a trendy drink that involves a soda base like Coke or Dr. Pepper and flavor add-ins like coconut, cream, and fresh lime. They have a full menu of recommended combinations, but you can also go rogue and choose your own combo.

They also have Italian cream sodas (made with sparkling water, syrup, and heavy cream) and energy drink combinations. And don't forget their cookies!

Why Dirty Sodas Have Become So Popular

Dirty Sodas orginated in Utah Mormon communities in the 2010s because the faith does not allow for alcoholic drinks like cocktails, nor coffee drinks like popular Starbucks concoctions. However, we all know it's fun to have a fun drink, so the dirty soda was born.
