If that's the case, you might want to consider moving to Sun City, Arizona. It was one of the first 55+ communities built in the United States. The hitch is, you're not allowed to live in this community if you're younger than 55 years old.

Building began in 1960 and it now has over 28,000 homes. They also have a ton of amenities, aimed at "active lifestyle" adults. They've got golf courses, recreation centers, and countless social clubs, shopping, and dining. Nearly everything you could want close by. As a bonus, they have low property taxes and minimal association fees.

The Kids Can Visit Sun City, Arizona - But They Can't Stay

As a retirement community, Sun City has a strict minimum age policy. Only people 55 and older are allowed to live there. This creates a sense of community and camaraderie among the residents because they share similar interests and values.

While your kids and grandkids are welcome to visit, according to the Sun City website, children under 19 years old can only stay with you for 90 days in 12 months. Oh, and the kids have to be accompanied by a responsible adult wherever they go in the community.

As a resident, you're allowed to sign them in as guests so you can enjoy some of the activities together, such as swimming, bowling, fishing, and softball. But when the time is up, you can wave goodbye until next time.
