National Coffee Day – Where to Score a Free Cup in El Paso

Ahhh, coffee; cheaper than a meth addiction and slightly less brutal to your teeth.

If you’re anything like me, you totally agree with Folgers that the best part of waking up is coffee in your cup. Okay, scratch that, second best. The best part of waking up is just waking up --  but I digress.

National Coffee Day is this Friday, Sep. 29, according to the World Wide Web of Faux Holidays and Observances, and the only true way to truly celebrate is with a cup of Joe.

Here are the coffee purveyors around town I know of that are observing the day by either giving away a free cup of coffee or offering some kind of buy-something-get-something deal:

• Locally, Hillside Coffee & Donut Co. at Montecillo, 4935 N Mesa, will be giving away a free cup of java, limit one person, all day.

A handful of national brands with El Paso locations are also doing the straight up free deal.

• Cinnabon will be giving away 12 oz. cups of coffee all day. Find a Cinnabon near you here.

• Krispy Kreme is not only do you get a free small coffee on Friday, they'll hook you up with a free cup on Saturday and Sunday too.

• Dunkin’ Donuts is doing the BOGO thing. Purchase a medium or larger cup on Friday, get a medium-size cup of hot coffee for free.

I'll update this list if I get word of other El Paso coffee shops participating, so check back every now and then.
