Internet Claim Not True, Spirit Halloween Stores in El Paso and Nationwide Will Open
It's pretty much a given that, thanks to the pandemic, Halloween will likely look very different in 2020. But it won’t be for a lack of Spirit… stores.
You may have seen the letter that has been circulating on the World Wide Web of Mis-information for the past couple of months supposedly written by Spirit Halloween declaring it was canceling store openings “due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and the lack of international commerce.” As official as it looks, its claim is not true.
Rest assured there is going to be a Spirit Halloween popping up in some abandoned, out of business, El Paso store front near you in the coming days.
The company addressed the whole thing in a Facebook post dated June 28, that read in part,“We heard you’re crushed, disheartened, and downright sad. Well, don’t worry, the rumors aren’t true.”
The message was accompanied by a photo of a hazmat suit-covered model and the words ‘Don’t Worry We Got This Covered’. And, yes, the hazmat suit costume is available for purchase, in case you were wondering.
Suck it, coronavirus. You've taken so much from us, but you're not taking our spooky superstore.
