Learn how to make a quick and easy eclipse pinhole viewer to watch the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017.

The sun will darken all across the country during the full solar eclipse and the spectacle will have many wanting to look up at the sun however doing so can damage your eye’s retina so special eclipse glasses are required. Just in case you haven’t bought or been able to locate any, you can still make your own pinhole viewer with just a few everyday items.

You will need a shoebox, aluminum foil, scissors, paper and tape, and about 10 minutes to put it all together. Once complete you can safely view the solar eclipse with ease and without damaging your eyes.
