Help El Paso Groups Fundraise For Period Products This Month

Your period. There is nothing more of a hassle to deal with. You know what a pain in the neck it is when you're out for the night or at work and you suddenly need a pad or tampon but don't have one. You know you can reach out to a friend or just go buy some emergency supplies, but when you can't afford period products, the hassle becomes a real problem.

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas knows that there are a lot of women out there who have to make hard decisions every month to deal with their menstrual cycle and they've teamed up with the young women’s entrepreneur non-profit, Chica Chat, to help those women with a month-long Period Product Drive.

On Thursday, February 13, the women of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas and Chica Chat will kick off their Galentine’s Day celebration and fundraiser at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. You'll be able to hang out with other women and your galentines to celebrate all things women and female friendship. That celebration will include bringing to light the importance of access to menstrual hygiene products.

During the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot fundraiser, Chica Chat and Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas will be asking for donations of unscented pads, panty liners and unused makeup bags. All products will be donated to local women's shelters in the community.
