It's summertime and our local children's charity, the Child Crisis Center, is in need of donations for kids currently in their care.

The local 501(c)3 non-profit "protects children from abuse and neglect by providing shelter, advocacy, and family support services." The center works with the community to educate and collaborate with the community to promote healthy family environments for children. The goal is that these children can grow from these negative situations to become happy, healthy and look forward to a positive future.

With the official start of summer upon us, the charity put out a request on their social media pages for the community to help them with donations of new children's summer clothing. The clothing donated is given to the kids that come into the shelter and some of the items they need include:

  • t-shirts
  • shorts
  • simple dresses
  • flip flops

The clothing needs to be for kids ages 4 years of age to 13 years old. All donations to the Child Crisis Center are put right back into the community to those in need. Children who are given these donations are allowed to keep them when they leave.

Donations may be dropped off or a pickup of donations can be arranged. The Child Crisis Center of El Paso is located at 2100 N. Stevens Street in El Paso. For more information or to arrange a donation pick up, please call (915) 562-7955 or visit their Facebook or website.
