Survey Reveals the NFL’s Heaviest Drinking Fanbases in 2025

As the weather gets cooler the sounds of cheering fans screaming at their TV’s gets louder because the NFL season is back, which means touchdowns, heartbreaks, and that usually leads to way too many beers. 

A new survey of over 3,000 football fans revealed which fanbases go the hardest on gameday, and the results might surprise you.

The NFL Fanbase That Drinks the Most Might Surprise You

Turns out the biggest drinkers in the league aren’t Buffalo’s famously rowdy Bills Mafia or even Cleveland’s long-suffering Browns fans. Nope. The crown goes to Arizona Cardinals fans, with nearly 19% admitting they slam back FIVE or more drinks on gameday. (Honestly, I thought the Dallas Cowboys would take this title but I guess not!)

Here are the heaviest-drinking NFL fanbases:

• Buffalo Bills
• Houston Texans
• Carolina Panthers
• Tennessee Titans
• Washington Commanders
• L.A. Chargers
• New York Giants
• New Orleans Saints
• Jacksonville Jaguars

On the other end of the beer spectrum, Green Bay Packers fans drink the least. Only 3% say they binge with five or more drinks. Maybe it’s all the cheese curds soaking up the booze?
