Disney’s The Lion King opens tonight at the Plaza Theatre and guests are advised to arrive early due to increased security and traffic delays.

Disney’s The Lion King kicks off a 2-week run tonight at the Plaza Theatre and guests are encouraged to arrive early due to make sure that you allow plenty of time for traffic congestion, parking, and there may be other events taking place during one of the performances which can cause further delays. Parking will be available at the Convention Center Parking garage and the Union Plaza Transit Terminal garage with additional parking available at the Mills Parking Garage.

Also keep in mind that there will be increased security screenings as well. Security screenings will be in place to ensure guest safety. All patrons and their property are subject to search as a condition to entry in the event.  Bags larger than 12’ x 12” x 6”, weapons or other prohibited items will not be allowed inside the venue.

Show organizers also recommend that “Will Call” tickets be picked up one hour prior to showtime with a valid ID.

All performances will start promptly at scheduled times. Therefore if guests arrive after the start of the performance they will not be allowed into the seating area until later in the performance.

Disney’s The Lion King runs March 30 – June 10th with 16 shows at the Plaza Theatre in downtown El Paso.
