The El Paso Public Library is asking for your help in supporting their yearly literary festival Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros and you get to eat well when you do it.

If you go to the Chick-fil-A at 7597 N. Mesa St. near North Desert Blvd. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, Chick-fil-A will donate 15 percent of every purchase to the El Paso Public Library. Those donations will be used to get new books to give away to children who attend the Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros festival.

Library staff will be on hand greeting and informing customers about all of the free services that are available at the El Paso Public Library. You can sign-up for a free library card for yourself and your family members while you're there, and the library mascot Lea will also be on hand to greet you and take pictures with your kiddos.

The El Paso Public Library and the Parks and Recreation Department have hosted Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros every year since 1997 to celebrate children’s literacy and health. Thousands of books will be given away during the event.
