Get your sombreros ready and bring your best dance moves to the Fountains at Farah this Thursday for a Cinco De Mayo celebration!

The El Paso Border Folk Fest is holding their Mariachi and Folklorico Night Cinco De Mayo Celebration at The Fountains at Farah this Thursday, May 5th.

The event is free and open to the public. The Cinco De Mayo celebration will start at 5:30 p.m. and last until 9 p.m.

The event will have limited space available so guests are encouraged to head out early as spaces will be based on a first come first serve basis.

According to El Paso Border Folk’s website, Best Folklorico Quetzales with Mariachi Leyenda Azteca will be a few of the featured performers for the event.

"Come cheer for our two high school Mariachi programs that scored 1s at the State Mariachi UIL Festival: Hanks H.S. & Socorro H.S,” read a post on the festival’s Facebook page.

The full line-up of performers will be announced soon on The Fountains at Farah’s Facebook page.

The El Paso Border Folk Festival (BFF) is an event that is held to showcase the music that makes our border culture unique.

Cinco De Mayo’s forecast is shaping up to be a good one. Sunny skies and breezy winds are expected this Thursday. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 80s so if you plan on heading out to the celebration make sure to take some water, sunblock and dress comfortably!
