Inaugural ‘Food Truck Throwdown’ to Feature 30 Food Trucks, Local Bands

Over 30 of the area’s most popular food trucks will face off in a two day long event this weekend.

Beginning at noon on both Saturday and Sunday, food trucks from El Paso and Las Cruces will converge in Anthony, Texas, for some food, fun, and friendly competition. The winner of the first ever “Food Truck Throwdown” will recieve $2,000 and the title of Texas’ Best in the Southwest.

With so many food trucks there you know there’s going to be something for everyone’s palette. Cuisine options will run the gamut — from hot dogs and hamburgers to tacos, Cuban, barbecue, and so much more, so come hungry. The event will also feature live music performances from some of El Paso’s most popular bands, including Chuco Soul Project, Mainstreet, and RiboFlavin.
