When you're shopping for groceries, it stinks whenever you can't find what you're looking for. It can be very frustrating. Now imagine that on a grander scale... you can't find what you're looking for, and everything AROUND that aisle.

That's exactly what happened me this weekend. One trip down the frozen section and there was just NOTHING there...

I'm used to seeing a couple of food items missing; waiting to be restocked. But to have entire FREEZERS just completely empty? It made me think back to the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, where people would stockpile on food & supplies leaving stores empty...completely bone dry.

I know I'm not the only one who's seen this either: It was only a few months ago that Joanna wrote about stores having an extremely low supply of Hot Cheetos.

Unfortunately months later, it's still happening & it's affecting many people in El Paso. This month, one family made the news as they struggled to find baby formula for their newborn.

It sucks because there really is no easy solution to this problem: we all have families & while the pandemic is still lingering, I can expect to see this happening for a while. Not just in El Paso, but all OVER the United States.

The best we can do is try to stick to getting what we need from the stores & resist getting a surplus of items. That goes for me too: must resist getting tons of zero sugar soda... Thankfully we do have food banks in El Paso that can offer some assistance if things don't improve.
