Emmys 2012 — Our Picks for Worst Dressed
For the 2012 Emmys, Hollywood's elite called upon their stylists, makeup artists, hair gurus and jewelers to make them look pretty for this big ol' pat-on-the-back fest. But some outfits made us wonder if these creative and famous types put a little too much faith in their handlers.
So with that said, here are our picks for the five worst gowns at this year's awards.

Julianne Moore
The gorgeous redhead had a rare fashion misstep here. The canary yellow color was a nice pop against her porcelain skin and flame-colored hair, but did it really need that much fabric? Get thee to a nunnery.

Heidi Klum
The German supermodel proved that there CAN be too much of a good thing. Her seafoam green gown with its plunging neckline and two leg slits didn't leave much to the imagination, and felt a little trashy to boot. We have to think Klum herself would banish any designer who put this together on 'Project Runway.'

Phoebe Price
The ginger actress has way too much going on here and it all clashes. There are too many frills, an unflattering asymmetrical hem and those putrid Day-Glo orange shoes that look like she swung by the mall and picked them up at Hot Topic on her way to the show. No, no, a thousand times no.

Glenn Close
We appreciate the fact that the mature 'Damages' actress dresses her age, but she missed the mark on Sunday night. While classic black and white is always a wise choice, the busy, distracting pattern made her look wider than she is -- and is thus a fashion failure.

Lena Dunham
'Girls' writer and actress Lena Dunham -- who reminds us of Diablo Cody with her snappy dialogue that exactly no one in her generation speaks -- is supposed to be the epitome of edgy, so this frumpy, floor-sweeping, lacy grandma's frock might be a lame attempt to be so-uncool-it's-really-cool. But since we're giving the verdict and have the final say, here it is: Lena Dunham was the worst dressed woman at the 2012 Emmys.
