El Paso’s Khalid Earns 12 Billboard Music Awards Nominations

Khalid is back in the spotlight as he receives 12 nominations for the upcoming 2020 Billboard Music Awards.

For the third year in a row Khalid has earned multiple nominations – this year his  nominations doubled which include:

The annual Billboard Music Awards announced all the nominees on September 22, 2020 - Leading this year’s nominations is Circles singer Post Malone with 16, followed by first-time nominees Lil Nas X with 13 and Billie Eilish ties Khalid this year with 12 nominations each.

• Earned 5 nominations in 2018 and took home one award for Top New Artist
• Earned 6 Billboard Music Awards nominations in 2019
• Earned 12 Billboard Music Awards nominations in 2020

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson and will air on NBC on October 14, 2020, beginning at 6 p.m.

Earlier this year Khalid won the BMI songwriter of the year and most recently collaborated with Alicia Keys. The two superstars recently performed their tune So Done live for the first time on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
