El Pasoans share best and worst Valentine’s Day gift they’ve ever received
The day of love is upon us. Valentine’s Day! Today many couples will be spoiling their significant other with flowers, chocolates, and whatever else they were able to find at the stores.
Valentine’s Day is a day to give that special someone a memorial gift, but sometimes…. we fail. And hey, sometimes we succeed.
I asked El Pasoans what the best and worst gift they ever received on Valentine’s Day was.
Here’s what a few El Pasoans had to say:
One El Paso man said that the best gift he ever received was his wife. Wow. I wasn't expecting to cry so early in the week but here I am. Crying. However, his worst Valentine’s Day gift? Food poisoning from Valentine’s Day dinner. Yikes. Hoping history doesn't repeat itself this year.
For one El Paso man It was a gift that HE gave that reminds him of the worst gift he ever received on Valentine’s Day:
"I gave this one girl flowers and chocolates back in EPCC, then found out she threw them away."
I promise not all girls are that mean! Maybe she was allergic?
Saeed received chocolates as a Valentine’s Day gift. You’d think that would be considered a good gift, right? NOT WHEN IT’S EXPIRED AND MELTED!
A few of the ladies chimed in as well with Claudia Rodriguez saying the best gift she ever received was a surprise picnic that included pizza! Sometimes it’s the simple but thoughtful gifts that mean the most.
For this El Paso woman, receiving two dozen roses was her best gift. Again, sometimes simple gifts go a long way.
And for one El Paso mom, Valentine's Day led to a gift that took nine months to get delivered. Literally.
I’m going to assume that was a good gift, right? Just to be safe, we'll hide her identity in case her children read this.
Well, here’s to hoping that you get nothing but good gifts this year and for years to come!
