The Consensus Says September is the Best Time to Decorate for Halloween

Summer is finally starting to wind on down. It's not the season that I don't enjoy, it's the fact that I have to go from a freezing office to a hot day that just annoys me.

With the departure of summer comes fall, and I don't know about you but I am ready for it! I'm ready for (slightly) lower temperatures, I'm ready for fall fashion and most importantly I am ready for Halloween season to begin!

In case you are not aware, I am a big lover of Halloween and Halloween décor is one of my favorite things to shop for. I have boxes of some of our usual Halloween props, but there is always room for more!

But when is the appropriate time to start decorating? I went ahead and asked our faithful Facebook followers.

As usual, you all came through with some wonderful responses! I especially appreciated all those who shared their pictures of the decorations at their house! Love the spooky spirit!

As you can see, the general consensus was September and I have to say, I definitely agree with that.

As the last response points out, decorate whenever the heck you want. If you're like me and you have boxes of Halloween decorations ready, then there shouldn't be an exact date as to when you can decorate your own house.

However, I will say, if you're looking for more decorations, then September is the perfect time because Spirit Halloween stores finally open and other stores are in full swing with their seasonal decorations! It makes sense. But, it's your home and your decorations so if you want to start on July 5th, then go for it!
