El Paso public schools are well represented on the list of top schools in West Texas by Texas School Guide powered by Children at Risk.  This particular online publication takes things such as state exam results, growth indicators, and college readiness measure into account when compiling their list.

The West Texas rankings which also includes public schools in cities such as Lubbock and Midland is full of campuses familiar to El Pasoans.  Ysleta ISD’s Young Women’s Leadership Academy and El Paso ISD’s Jefferson Silva Health Magnet school in particular were named the top middle and high schools, respectively.

For anybody thinking these are the only two local campuses listed among the top schools, they’ll be pleasantly surprised to know that El Paso schools make up half of the top ten high schools list and two out of the top five on the middle schools AND elementary schools list.

With all the additional challenges educators and students are currently dealing with, it’s great to see these campuses being recognized as among the best at providing a quality education for children in this area of the state.  El Paso schools and their rankings are listed below
