1. Warming Centers: Recreation and Library Locations

The city has designated recreation centers and libraries as warming centers for those seeking refuge from the freezing weather.

Recreation Centers:

These centers will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They include:

  • Valle Bajo: 7380 Alameda Ave.
  • Marty Robbins: 11600 Vista Del Sol Drive
  • Galatzan: 650 Wallenberg Drive
  • Nations Tobin: 8831 Railroad Drive

Libraries:

Libraries are available Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Locations include:

  • Armijo Library: 620 E. 7th Ave.
  • Dorris Van Doren: 551 Redd Road
  • Jose Cisneros/Cielo Vista: 1300 Hawkins St.
  • Memorial Park: 3200 Copper Ave.
