Breathtaking El Paso Sunrise and Sunset Photos Subject of New Museum Exhibit

Borderland sunrise and sunset photos taken by locals is the focus of the newest rotating exhibition at the El Paso Museum of History

Whether it’s the sun majestically rising over the Franklins or slowly setting behind the desert horizon, we’re treated to stunning sunrises and sunsets that leaves many of us in awe and reaching for our phone pretty much on the daily.

I can’t tell you how many times I have marveled at the sight of the beginning of a new day or watched in awestruck wonder as another afternoon makes its final curtain call and steps aside for the impending darkness.

My phone is filled with pics of cotton candy pink, subdued blue, and vibrant yellow and orange displays from Mother Nature, and I bet you have at least one or two on yours as well.

Say what you want about El Paso, but one thing we can all agree on is how amazing our sunrises and sunsets are.

A Photographic Narrative of Borderlands Sunrise and Sunset

The El Paso Museum of History is featuring their breathtaking beauty in a new exhibit titled Pasos Urbanos: A Photographic Narrative of Borderlands Sunrise and Sunset, and featuring photos Borderland residents have taken.

50 photographs taken by 43 different photographers have been selected for the exhibition; 27 from El Paso, 14 from Juárez, and two from New Mexico.

The photos will be on display in Gallery D located on the second floor of the El Paso Museum of History, downtown at 510 N. Santa Fe Street, through October 30, 2022. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free
