We recently discussed this on the Morning show after we heard the news about the Sundance jury walking out of a premiere after the festival failed to provide captioning. It got us all questioning: do movie theaters have closed captioning?!

If there's one thing that I've learned from having the ability to stream movies and shows in the comfort of my own home is that I NEED captions!

I don't know if I'm starting to become hard of hearing, or I've just become accustomed to reading the dialogue- but every time I go to the movies I wish that I could get some captions!

So I decided to do some research- could I possibly get some captions when I go to see a movie? And what I found was actually surprising, well, to me, I'm sure to many it's not.

The good news is that ALL movie theaters in El Paso are now accommodating to those who are deaf or hard of hearing! So, should you need closed captioning, it should be no problem for you to do so!

How? Well, that depends on what theater you go to! At theaters like AMC, you can actually see movies with captions right on the screen! Here are some simple instructions on how to find movies with captions right on the screen!

At other theaters like Cinemark, Alamo Drafthouse, Flix Brewhouse and Premiere Cinemas, there's a device you can use to get closed captions- all you have to do is ask. Check out how it works!

I called each of these theaters to confirm that they have this device available and they do. Catch me at the next movie showing with one of these!
