A 35-year old man has been charged with murdering his parents in West El Paso.

El Paso Police officials are reporting that in the early morning of Thursday, February 13, 2020, 35-year old Benjamin Duncan called authorities to report that he had killed his parents.

Benjamin Duncan was taken into custody today after admitting to stabbing and killing his parents and has been booked for Capital Murder into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $1,000,000 bond.

When police arrived at the Duncan home located in west El Paso on the 7600-block of Medano, they entered the residence through an open door and found the son, Benjamin Duncan who was waiting on them to surrender himself.

Benjamin’s parents, 68–year old Julie Duncan and 67–year old Richard Duncan were discovered inside the residence by police with stab wounds. Richard Duncan was found alive and transported to University Medical Center but did not survive, while Julie Duncan was pronounced dead on the scene.

At this time there are no more details as the investigation continues.
