Pack the sunscreen and grab that mini fan, El Paso—because things are heating up fast
The borderland has been dealing with record breaking wind storms and now it seems as if record breaking heat will be added to that list!
According to the National Weather service, El Paso will be seeing about a ten-degree jump from Tuesday’s high, which means El Paso is expected to sizzle at 96°, and our friends up in Las Cruces aren’t far behind with a forecasted 92°. It’s like spring said, “I’m out,” and summer barged in uninvited. RUDE!!

And here’s the kicker: Thursday and Friday could bring El Paso its first triple-digit day of the year. Yep, 100°+ and we’re not even officially in summer yet. The solstice hasn’t even RSVP’d and we’re already sweating through our eyebrows.
All jokes aside, this heat wave is part of a larger trend across Texas, with cities statewide dealing with record-breaking temperatures earlier than usual. ‘
So, keep the water bottles full, check on your abuelita, and maybe go ahead and take the kids out to a local spray park!
