El Paso Fire Department Offering Free Flu Shots in February
Any resident of El Paso who is over the age of 65 is qualified to receive a free pneumonia shot all thanks to the El Paso Fire Department.
If you are suffering from symptoms such as difficulty breathing, chest pain and fatigue and are over the age of 65 may be at a higher risk of suffering from pneumonia and may want to consider taking the vaccine.
The free vaccine being offered prevents brain, blood and lung bacterial infections such as pneumonia, meningitis and septicemia. Unfortunately in today’s day and age the multiple strains of the pneumococcal disease are resistant to antibiotics. Therefore getting vaccinated is the best way to protect from getting seriously ill.
The El Paso Fire Department is offering residents of El Paso who are over the age of 65 who do not have insurance or have Medicaid can qualify for the free pneumonia vaccine.
If you suffer from medical conditions such as kidney disease, asthma, chronic heart or lung disease and other conditions that weaken the immune system and are over the age of 65 then you should consult a health physician to talk about whether or not this vaccine should be taken.
