The El Paso Film Commission is looking for local talented movie makers.

The El Paso Film Commission is encouraging local film makers to take part in their 2-day movie challenge for a chance to get their film screened at the Plaza Theatre.

The 2-Day Movie Challenge pushes local movie makers to make a mini movie over a two day period that includes a full production of actors and crew and access to shoot in city parks without fees thanks to the El Paso Film Commission’s partnership with the El Paso Parks and Recreation Department.

Interested movie makers and their team are encouraged to participate for free by registering HERE.

There will be four different themes that will be assigned to each team at random, varying from Comedy, Drama, Film Noir, or Action. Registration is free and non-professional and professional film makers are invited to participate at the kick-off event  on Friday, June 8th. The 4-8 minute movie submissions will be due by Sunday, June 10th at 7 p.m. with winners invited to the awards presentation and screening of their film on June 15th, 2018 at the Plaza Theatre.
