Burlington is welcoming customers inside its stores again after temporarily closing in March in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

All El Paso locations will reopen on Friday, May 15, and will implement numerous measures to make customers feel more comfortable about being around people and to comply with federal, state, and local guidelines and restrictions.

Among the precautions stores will be taking is encouraging social distancing by displaying signage reminders and markers on the floor, one way entrances and exits at the front of the store, wider check out lanes, and more space between customers and associates at each register.

Other steps being taken will be frequently cleaning high-touch areas and requiring staff to wear face coverings and gloves while on duty.

“We are approaching the re-opening process very carefully. We want to re-open stores methodically and thoughtfully, prioritizing the health and safety of our associates and customers,” wrote CEO Michael O’Sullivan in a letter to customers.

Burlington has three El Paso locations. One in west El Paso on North Mesa, on the east side at 1144 Yarbrough, and a far east location on Zaragoza.
