El Paso Animal Services Pet Wellness Clinic Back This Weekend with Free Vaccines, Microchips
El Paso Animal Services will be holding another free Drive-Thru Pet Wellness Clinic in September.
EPAS is teaming up with the Petco Love Foundation to vaccinate and microchip up to 500 cats and dogs.
Wellness Clinic: What You Need to Know
Vaccinations given during the Pet Wellness Clinic will protect your dogs and cats from deadly diseases such as parvo and distemper in dogs, and panleukopenia in cats.
The free event is set for Sunday, September 25, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the El Paso International Airport Butterfield Trail Air Cargo Center at 301 George Perry Blvd. It’s on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 500 pets.
Because it will be conducted drive-thru style, pets and humans must remain in the vehicle; all dogs must be on a leash and cats in a secure carrier while going through the drive-thru clinic.
Vaccines and Microchips
Dogs will receive a parvo/distemper vaccination, while cats will receive a feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia vaccination.
No other pet vaccinations will be available. Canines and felines must be at least six weeks old to receive vaccines. Both dogs and cats will also be microchipped, which can help get your pet back home if it ever goes missing or runs off.
