Monster Jam Mayhem Returning to El Paso This October

Good news Monster Jam fans; you won’t have to wait until spring 2022 to see monster trucks tear up Sun Bowl Stadium. It turns out the World Famous Monster Jam will be roaring into El Paso this fall.

I saw on the Monster Jam website that we were one of the cities on the 2021 Fall Tour but there were no other details, so I reached out to Jorge Vasquez, Executive Director General Manager Office of Special Events the University of Texas at El Paso.

Vasquez confirmed to me Monster Jam monster trucks will take over Sun Bowl Stadium for a weekend of absolutely insane displays of gravity-defying feats this fall.

And hopefully there won’t be a repeat of March 2020 when someone called in a bomb threat causing a two-hour delay.

Because it’s not yet official yet, tickets are not available at this time nor do we know which high-flying, car crushing monster trucks will be smashing through obstacles and ripping s**t up at this time. But I would be surprised if Sun City favorites Monster Energy and Grave Digger were not coming.

If you’re really, really into the smell of race fuel and the sight of heavy metal machines on massive wheels and you can't wait until October, the second largest promoter of monster truck events in the U.S. is staging a show in our area at the end of this month.

It’s called Monster Truck Wars and they’re just as loud and huge, and promise earth-shaking, ground-pounding, high-flying excitement too. Monster Truck Wars will rumble into the Dona Ana Fair arena in Las Cruces on August 28.
