The first interracial kiss on american network t.v. was on "Star Trek". On Nov 22nd, 1968, Captain Kirk (William Shatner) kissed Lieutenant Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) in the episode entitled "Plato's Stepchildren". Some stations in the southern U.S. originally refused to air the episode!!
