El Paso is getting another Chick-fil-A.

The newest location will be on Airway along the 3-mile stretch from El Paso International Airport to Interstate 10, according to an article published by El Paso Inc.

The chain restaurant, known for its "original chicken sandwich" and the herd of enlightened renegade cows that encourage Americans to "Eat Mor Chikin" not beef, plans to build its fifth stand alone location in a shopping center currently under development at the corner of Edgemere and Airway.

Whataburger recently shuttered its long time location just south of there and became the first business to open at the new site, but it won't be it's lone tenant for too long.

El Paso Inc. reports El Paso-based Great American Steakhouse has plans to open a restaurant featuring its brand new design there, and that a SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel will also be going up in the near future.

It's not known at this time when construction of the new Chick-fil-A will begin but word is they expect to get things moving in the next couple of months.

MIMCO, which owns and will manage the 9,000 square-foot shopping center, hopes to have the entire project finished by early next year.
