Okay guys, shine up your dancing shoes, and ladies, get your sexy warm weather shorts and chunks ready because “Dancing in the City” and “Melodies at the Park” join the free El Paso outdoor music fracas this weekend. Both events will make their summer debuts on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Dancing in the City will take place ever Saturday in the Arts Festival Plaza between the El Paso Museum of Art and the Plaza Theatre. And true to its name, this outdoor concert series includes dance lessons at 7:00 p.m. followed by a live music performance from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. This week's featured entertainment is the merengue band Sobredosis del Sabor.

Melodies at the Park not only highlights a variety of local acts, it’s also designed to showcase some of our city’s parks. The free shows are on Sundays and start at 7 p.m. This week bring your neon sticks, florescent gear and costume to Eastwood Park (Album Park), 3001 Parkwood, for an electronic and music light show by Sound, Music and Lighting Productions.
