Color Me Badd, Rose Royce Headline Valentines Super Love Jam at the Don
Come inside take off your coat
I'll make you feel at home.
Now lets pour a glass of wine
Cause now we're all alone.
Oh, sorry, I got carried away there. What can I say, "I Wanna Sex You Up" by Color Me Badd is one super sexy song!
You can sing-along and grind to that classic jam and many others on Friday, February 9, when the Valentines Super Love Jam returns to El Paso and the Don Haskins Center.
Early '90s R&B group Color Me Badd, who scored two No. 1 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991 with “I Adore Mi Amor” and “All 4 Love,” and '70s hitmakers Rose Royce will headline the pimpin' nostalgia tour that promises to be heavy on the old-school funk and soul.
Rose Royce is best known for the often covered songs 'Wishing On A Star,' and 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore,' and the 'Car Wash' soundtrack that yielded the group the Top Ten singles, "Car Wash", "I Wanna Get Next to You", and "I'm Going Down."
The bill also includes a handful of big time homies from way back in the day. Well, they'd be big time if it was the mid '70s, but still, how's this for an evening of throwback entertainment: Peaches & Herb, GQ, Malo, and The Chi-Lites to name a few.
Perfect for a pre-Valentine's Day outing with your honey.
Tickets range in price from $28.50 to $49.50 plus taxes and fees, and are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and the University Ticket Center.
