Cold Case Podcast Investigates Texas Cold Case of Jennifer Harris
Claire St. Amant is a Texas investigative journalist and host of a true-crime podcast called "Final Days On Earth" where this season she focuses on the cold case murder of Jennifer Harris in North Texas.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, May marked the 20th anniversary of the death of Jennifer Harris and the discovery of her body in the Red River of Fannin County, Texas in 2002.
An autopsy of Harris revealed that her uterus had been removed which escalated her death to a violent homicide. St. Amant searches for the reason why her uterus was removed and goes back 20 years later to get fresh interviews on the case.
St. Amant examines the final night of Jennifer's life when she went out to visit a friend and never returned. Her body was found by a fisherman one week later in the Red River.
The podcast will recount the last days of Jennifer Harris' life, her recent divorce, and moving in with her grandmother in Bonham, Texas. It will also detail the investigation efforts of local police after the discovery of her body.
"There is a lot of information that is known about what Jennifer was doing in the final days of her life, and I wanted to see if I could find any more answers in her case by going back through the file, conducting new interviews, and making a detailed timeline of events," St. Amant told CultureMap Dallas.
You have time to catch up on the 10-episode podcast which started releasing episodes every Tuesday beginning May 10 and running till July 12 on your favorite podcast sites or by going to "Final Days On Earth."
