Nationwide Coffee Recall Due To Botulism

Coffee lovers in Texas, heads up! The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall of all canned coffee products made by Snapchill LLC that are still within their expiration dates. This move comes after it was found that Snapchill's manufacturing process might not effectively prevent the growth and production of botulism, a potentially deadly toxin.

Although no illnesses have been reported so far, Snapchill was informed by the FDA that their canning process was not filed with the FDA as required by regulation. This oversight poses a serious health risk, as botulism can cause symptoms like weakness, dizziness, double-vision, difficulty speaking or swallowing, and even muscle paralysis. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

Snapchill's recalled coffee cans were distributed nationwide in sizes ranging from 7 oz. to 12 oz. Affected brands include Cape Cod Coffee, Coffee Hound, Knowledge Perk, Vivid, and many more. If your coffee was canned by Snapchill, look for "Produced and distributed by Snapchill LLC" underneath the nutrition facts label.
